My name is Amaurys Vega and I’m an independent artist living in London. I have a passion for art and have been creating art since I was very young.

 

I studied Fine Arts at the San Alejandro National Academy in Havana, Cuba. My art is a mix of contemporary and abstract styles where I use monochrom black and white, vibrant colours, and linework to create engaging works of art that reflect the beauty of the world around me. ​​​​

 

Exploring the human figure and its relationship with its environment is part of my creative process. I’m inspired by the beauty and sensuality of the female form, but also other elements from my environment and everyday life. My works are a combination of surrealism and abstraction and I endeavor to create unique pieces that capture the emotion and energy of my ideas.

Another great passion of mine is painting realistic portraits. I enjoy engaging with different techniques and tools like airbrush, charcoals and graphite, that allow me to express the emotions behind the face in the most loyal manner. In my art, I strive to capture the beauty of the human spirit and create something that’s truly unique.
